My son-in-law’s sister Ivory is 7 years old and she was riding her go cart without a helmet, and lost control landing her under a neighbors double wide that didn’t have any skirting. She was stopped by the floor and support beam by her neck. She slashed her neck from her ear to her larynx, cutting her thyroid, her juggler was torn slightly causing the blood to drain into her lungs, which then collapsed. She broke her neck and broke her back. She was air lifted to MUSC, she has had 1 operation on her lower back and they found her spinal cord to be totally cut. They have to wait for 2 weeks to operate on her larynx, thyroid and neck. Not knowing until then if her spinal cord is torn at the neck, which will tell to what extent she will be paralyzed. This little girl is only 7 years old and has her whole life to live. I ask you to lift her up to God in prayer.

Our faith is being tested again because our income as of Nov. was reduced by $180.37. The monthly wage loss insurance policy Marvin was receiving has run out of benefits. We are in the process of applying for SSI for him and for food stamps- as there is now no money in our budget for food, gas, medicine, and Dr. co-pays. We are both on Medicaid and Bonnie has been on SSDI since a head-on collision in 1987. That is now the only income that we have. We need a miracle both physically and financially.

My daughter and son-in-law lost their apartment. They have a little baby and they needed to move quickly. They live in a basement of a woman’s house and they signed a year contract. She originally told them that they would only need 60 days notice if they wanted to move. They have been offered a wonderful opportunity to move into a modular home and she will not let them out of this contract. Please pray that the Lord will have His will in this matter.

Bill L—Praise the Lord for the healing of both of my parents. Pray for my son Bill, Jr. He has had a problem with blood in his urine for several months. The doctors will perform a biopsy Friday on his kidneys looking at the possibility of Lupus or severe kidney disease. Lydia has gone to the doctor and is having the same problems as Bill. She will be evaluated also. We still pray for a change of heart for her and that the Lord will bring back the loving, kind, and compassionate daughter we know. Lydia needs to come to the Lord and have Him in her life. Pastor John’s wife Lilly had successful breast removal surgery for her cancer. The doctors are waiting until next year for the plastic surgery, but she will start chemo radiation therapy I believe next month. Their son Johnny has made a “U Turn” in his life and come to the Lord. Please continue to pray for Helen, Bill, Little Bill, Lydia, Lilly and Johnny. Satan may be here to devour those he can (and make our lives miserable as possible) but or God is above everything seen and unseen. For God is, and was, and will always be.

I have been on my own since high school- I am alone and hurt. My mother has Alzheimer’s and my sister is forcing me out of the house. I have no place to go and very little money. I am fighting suicide and I really need your prayers. What keeps me going is that I know that someday I will be in Heaven. I have been molested, raped, beat, my back has been broken three times, I was held at gunpoint and I am in a wheelchair. I have to take 29 pills in the morning, 15 pills at lunch, 15 pills at 6 p.m. and 12 pills at bedtime and I cannot live without them. I am miserable and I really need your prayers.

Thanks so much for those of you that have been praying for my dear friend, Joanna, and especially for her brother that was diagnosed with Leukemia in May of 2006. I know as I have been standing, supporting, and at times carrying my sweet friend through this devastating journey with her family… you have been joining and praying for this precious family as well. My heart is deeply hurting for all of them as they have had to take a heavy blow today.  Today we received a heartbreaking report from the doctor. They did a bone marrow test today to determine if there were any Leukemia cells left in Jared’s bone marrow after the second bone marrow transplant that my friend Joanna did for him at the beginning of the month. It was not a good report. The doctors have told the family there is nothing else they can do. They did however offer to use an experimental drug on Jared since he has no other options as this point. They have told the family that this drug has never worked for the type of disease that is so aggressively attacking Jared’s body. So tonight, I am calling on you to pray for the Waters family and for our dear friends, Justin and Joanna. Pray for the Lord to intervene for peace to the family for strength. At this point, they are telling the family if there is no treatment or the experimental drugs do not do anything for him that he may only be with us for a week or so.

She is a semi-believer but does not attend church. She is bitter against God because of a granddaughter who was in a car accident 20 years ago or so and she has been semi-conscious ever since.

Please pray for my mom Helen (90). She was taken to the hospital 4 weeks ago with severe rectal bleeding. The doctors thought she had intestinal ischemia. That is where the organs don’t digest and absorb the food. They tried to tell me that she only had days to live. She was alert, could talk and knew conversations around her. They decided that her life would be terrible and that we should let her go with some dignity. They tried to stop all food, drink, IV tubes and oxygen. She wanted to live and we would countermand their orders and get her liquid meals. She would eat everything on her tray. The next morning however, they would pull the tubes and try to starve her again. I finally was able to get her transferred to her regular hospital and now she is in a nursing home for rehabilitation. The staff failed to move her (as she is still weak) and she has developed a sore the size of a pie tin with an open legion and she was laying in feces. We are praying that the Lord will help us bring her home where we can take better care of her, but we need a lift mechanism since there is only one caregiver there. Please pray for Helen for healing and strength to live at home. Please also pray for my dad Bill Sr. (90). He has 2 masses very large in his lungs. The doctor doesn’t want to diagnose cancer until he performs a biopsy to get fluid and tissue samples. My father has been strong in body for his age, but his memory is poor. My daughter, Lydia (17) has gone from being drawn to rebellion (stealing, bad friends into sex and drinking) to recovery over the summer. Also, the Pastor’s son who has been into the partying, wild life, went voluntarily to Teen Challenge LA for his addictions. Johnny (26) has blossomed in the Bible program and plans to enter into the next phase heading toward rehab and ministry. Pastor John’s wife Lilly underwent a double mastectomy for cancer found in the chest. She will have to go through additional treatments and chest reconstruction. Satan is active, but my God is able to meet all our needs and Jesus paid the price that we may “have life and have it more abundantly” through him.

I have a great niece and she does drugs, alcohol, sex and cigarettes. She became pregnant and she continued this behavior. As a result, her son is now 10 months old and he has had 11 operations. His mother never comes to see him at the hospital even when they thought that he would not make it. I have always been at the hospital for him. Now C.Y.S. says that they see no reason not to give him to his mother. Please pray for this situation.

A very dear friend, Marcia, came down with the guillain-barre syndrome about two years age.  She is in a wheel chair. She can do nothing for herself, but she tries. She has lost a lot of weight and has side effects from the medication that the doctors gave her. She does not want to continue with the medications. She has faith that the Great Physician will heal her, but in his own time. I am requesting prayer for a speedy recovery for Marcia. We can do nothing of ourselves only through the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I even dunked him in the bathtub seven times. (I can’t get to the river Jordan), like the king, did as an act of faith. The seizures have still attacked him. He prays every day several times a day that Jesus will bring his daddy home to us.

Please pray for my marriage. We have been married for 5 years. I don’t believe that my husband was truly born again until a couple of months ago. I would like for him to be the spiritual head of our house. We are undergoing a lot of issues. He is making some decisions right now that are seriously affecting our lives. He took a job in San Antonio against my wishes and I believe against the Lords. We are separated right now because he took that job and we could not afford for us to both move. It was not a good move financially, but he is seeking the career move and not really looking at the well-being of his family as a whole. I am asking God for deliverance for myself. I have been supporting this man for 7 years. I truly need divine intervention of the Holy Spirit to wake me up if its time to divorce. I have taken quite a few financial blows because of decisions he’s made such as this one. He is difficult to talk to and communicate with. I cannot even talk issues over with my friends and family because he gets upset. If I need to divorce this man I need God to give me the courage and strength. He was living out of his car, but now he is running up the bill on an apartment he is renting. Please pray for me.

I will be flying to Nepal this Monday to Cho oyu in Tibet as assistant climbing guide, Cho oyu is the 6th highest peak (26,906ft) in the world. This will be the first I will be using supplemental oxygen on the climb and there will be so many unknowns that I am building up some anxiety about. The longer I guide I am finding it harder and harder to see the Lord in the work place and it has become taxing. 1. I get restored in fellowship with my old pastor, and church by divine appointment week before last week.
2. Last week (2 weeks before we get married) Naima gets evicted from her dorm for being late without calling (outreach to Muslim event wiped us out 3 days with 15 hours of sleep) and a handful of previous minor transgressions, He had no mercy and no pastoral involvement (even after we sought his help desperately) and this is the church’s name “Greater Grace” We don’t know what to do because the brother in charge is really angry, but I have seen him go overboard over little stuff before so I can’t really dump this on Naima at all.
3. No calls or emails about the incident at Fort Lewis yet.

 We really need prayer, we know the enemy has dug out a pit for us. I just am in awe at how much influence he is able to exercise. Greater still I could almost laugh at how pointless it is. Nothing can defeat God’s will. I just hope we are driving straight, narrow, and steady towards that.
Someone asked about Muslims in the Army, I just wanted you all to know there is a great security risk having true believers in the Qu’ran in our service corps, their loyalties are dangerously situated to do great damage, put good men in harms way, and needless to say diminish moral about why we are fighting against the “godfathers” of the middle east.
By the way, over 20 people got saved during our Seattle outreach to Muslims, even more sent in for Bibles. Praise God.
I am sorry to say the urgent prayer request about the snake- bite deaths at this point looks like it was bogus. I am really sorry, but the possibility it was true outweighed the chance it was a wicked trick.

Please pray for Michael. He is working in Alabama and he called to ask for special prayer for a young man that is employed at the plant there in Tuscaloosa. Late Tuesday afternoon, the young man was out in the yard playing ball with his two boys (ages 6 & 8 I think). The youngest boy missed the ball and he ran under the deck to retrieve it. When he screamed, the oldest boy ran to help out, then he screamed. Both boys had been bitten several times by rattlesnakes. The ball had landed in the middle of a snake bed. A 911 call was made, but the couple was afraid the boys would not make it. The two boys were placed in the family car in an attempt to “beat the clock”. In all the excitement of trying to hurry, the young father ran over his 3- year old daughter in the driveway.  Michael says that in 21 minutes all three children were dead!! Please pray for this young couple and their families. Michael says that both are in shock and cannot believe what has happened to their family. We know the power of prayer, let’s make sure this young couple can feel comfort and peace real soon.

I am requesting prayer because my last few years have been devastating. I lost my husband in a boating accident 3 years ago on Memorial Day. We were together for nearly 30 years. Within this same time frame I lost my father and brother-in law; leaving all of us women widows. I never knew how bad pain could feel until 2004. After his death, I have found everything around me collapsing. I lost all financial support, and his business. My home has been for sale for 2 years with no activity whatsoever. It has to sell soon or it will be financially catastrophic for me.  I walked my oldest daughter down the aisle to be wed in my husband’s place 3 weeks after his death. I am feeling so hopeless and so lost that I cannot connect with God as I once use to. I am finding myself sinking so low emotionally that I do not even know who I have become. I was once so strong and so supportive to others and was a leader that many came to for support. I now find myself praying to God just to help me make it through the day. My oldest daughter that I walked down aisle is now pregnant with her first child. The man she married is very racist and controlling of her. My daughter was my best friend and so dear to my heart and she has walked away form her entire family. What I am sharing with you is only a very small part of the experience that I have gone through. My body is full of anxiety, pain and anger. I now suffer with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and wonder if I will ever be able to let go so that I may be able to find happiness again. I ask that you please pray for my family and I.  I need strength.  I try to think that there has to be a plan for me, but I just can’t see it.

They took the cast off and now I am going through therapy to learn to walk again. When they X-Rayed the leg to check the healing, they found three more tumors. This is not good news. I start two more rounds of chemo next week. Tomorrow they will draw fluid, which is building up in the plueratic sack around my right lung. This fluid is being caused by the cancer. If this chemo doesn’t slow things down my doctor says that I have about a year to live. Please pray for a miracle.

My doctor who was assigned to me was Indian and her faith was Muslim. She said that she would say Amen to whatever I prayed. I asked again if she was sure and she said, “yes, I am sure”. So I prayed as the Holy Spirit guided and at the end she said amen and tears steamed from her eyes. That is our Messiah who placed us in positions to do His will. As she said goodbye last evening tears filled her eyes once more as she said that she would never forget our meeting and our time of prayer. Our God is awesome isn’t he? AMEN

My wife, Beth, fell ill with rather severe flu-like symptoms. This began with excruciatingly severe muscle-joint pain and high fevers, vomiting. The muscle-.joint pain has abated, but fevers and vomiting continue. The fevers peak out at about 104/105 before breaking. All of the lab tests have returned negative. She visited a general practitioner once and the ER twice. Today they admitted her into the hospital and have begun a far more extensive testing battery to include a spinal tap. The short of it is that the tests are not providing any data to set a course of treatment, although they are giving her a serious course of antibiotics. They have ruled out the more common maledies and are looking to the more rare stuff.

Praise Adoni that I finally got my eyes taken care of—both cataracts are removed. The doctor cannot get rid of Chuck’s bladder cancer. The treatments just kept the cancer from growing. That is good news and bad news because they may have to remove the bladder and put a bag on Chuck, we are not sure yet. The kidney tumor is still there, but Praise Adonai it has not grown in 3 or 4 years. It has been a rough road for Chuck. He also now has diabetes, and his arthritis is very bad in his knees and hips. He can hardly walk. He is so down and sure he hasn’t got long to live. I try so hard to keep his spirits up, but he’ll be 77-years old June 24th. Please remember him in your prayers.

They removed the cancerous bone and replaced it with a metal rod. The chemo helped his leg. However, the cancerous spots on his lungs have lingered. His doctor gave him a good report about his leg, but a very grim report on his lungs.  He is praying his next MRI will have less than 5 spots on each lung so he will be a candidate for radiation. Our family is in need of intercessor prayer. Our daughter, Lindsey has had a call from the Lord to be a part of a Missions Team going to Ethiopia this coming June. Sometimes I wonder if somehow G-d does not hear me because of some unrepentant sin that I have not confessed. I examine myself daily and I am in continual prayer. Please pray for me. I do believe that G-d is in control of all things, but sometimes it is hard to interpret what he would have me do.

Tom K. ‘s tumor has definitely been effected by the chemo. The pain has left the leg for approx two weeks. He did not get violently ill from the chemo. We are still waiting to find out about the spot on his lungs.
